Hello! My name is Jackie and I am a Civil Celebrant. I live in Sydney, Australia and I have two adult children.

I have a lot of personal experience with grief and have had my own fertility issues and recognise and understand that for some the need for some form of closure is important. I recognise and understand that when you are wanting a baby the instinct over-rides everything. When a pregnancy is lost it is truly heartbreaking. Over the years it has become evident that the death of an unborn baby in early pregnancy carries a silent grief and although society is becoming more aware of the need to recognise it as a painful time, I believe there is also a need to honour that loss through ceremony and ritual like we do most other deaths.

Rituals and ceremonies are performed worldwide at important times in our lives. They bring comfort, can reduce anxiety and offer a framework for navigating life’s ups and downs.

As a genuine person I am passionate about this work.

It is my aim to help as many people as possible through this, largely, silent grief by offering a ceremony/service to recognise and honour your lost pregnancy. It is my hope and intention that the services I have written bring some peace, comfort and an opening for healing and a way to move forward in whichever way is best for you.

• My main offering is one that my research showed was wanted the most. A profesionally written downloadable guided service that can be conducted in private, where ever and whenever. For those people that want to do something but don’t know what. It is easy to follow, can be purchased from anywhere around the world and is the most cost effective option. Just go to the ‘products’ page to purchase and it will be emailed to you together with a letter from me with explanation and instructions.

• I also offer ‘in person’ and ‘zoom’ services conducted by me for those feeling this is a better fit. You can call or email me with any questions and your requirements. Once you are happy to proceed go to the ‘products’ page to purchase and I will begin writing your service.

The services are all my own work, including a poem written specifically. All services have been/can be written whether your loss was recent or many years ago. Miscarriage and early pregnancy loss affects people all over the world and the video call and downloadable services are ideal no matter where you live.

Please note - for the downloadable service there are separate resources for whether one parent is conducting the service or whether two parents will be. Please choose the relevant product so you receive the correct materials. There are some instances when only one person in a couple feels the need to do this and of course there are single people going through the same experience, hence the two different items. The content for both services is the same. The grammar and some wording has been altered accordingly.
